FEEDBACK:

IT'S ALWAYS TOO COOL WHEN PEOPLE WRITE ABOUT HOW MUCH THEY LOVE THE BROCKET 99 CD'S! HEY, I'M A FAN FIRST! THAT'S WHY I CARE ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THIS CLASSIC PARODY. I'VE RECEIVED SO MANY CRAP CD'S AND TAPES OVER THE YEARS THAT I REFUSED TO STOP UNTIL I GOT THE VERY BEST BROCKET 99 I COULD FIND! A BROCKET 99 INSIDER FOUND MY SITE, SENT ME COPIES OF THE ORIGINALS AND GAVE ME PERMISSION TO OFFER THEM.

BELOW ARE SOME RESPONSES ABOUT WHAT THIS SITE OFFERS.

The Party Pac has arrived. My friends and I will have months/years of laughs thanks to your service.

Thank you once again.

Kevin

I just received the cd set and love it! I grew up in Great Falls, Montana, and spent my younger years traveling all about Alberta and Southern Saskatchewan playing hockey. We skated teams from Lethbridge, Fort Macleod, Brocket and Cardston to name a few. Not sure if Ernie was on those teams, but I think I recoginize his voice! I moved back to Great Falls in 1994 and first heard of Brocket 99 when I coached our high school hockey team that year. It is incredibly funny and right on the mark. I have heard the rumors and heard many dubbed copies. Now I have the best copy and will be playing it for all the old guys I skate with. Ernie Scar is alive at our rink and will never die. We are a bunch of 'fuckin' whities' and big fans. Thanks for your efforts.

Tom & Gretchen say: "WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!! As Professional Artists & Agents we appreciate "Great Material" when we Hear or See it. We Listened To Brockett 99 all the way from Butte Montana to Newport Beach CA, then Back Home to Las Vegas. We are going to order Your full CD sets and have our friends and associates laugh their Asses off like we do everytime we listen to You! and by the way... we also specialize in Native American Art & Artifacts and therein much understanding the plight of the Native Americans... You are bringing humor and comedy to where it is most needed..laughter! NO ONE SHOULD BE OFFENDED. Keep going, we can't get enough!" Tom & Gretchen

What's up with this site are you just a bunch of crazy indians spreading propaganda or what. This the first time i've visited this site so i really don't know what the deal is but maybe you could clarify for me thanks. ED: I can point you to our Brocketology section. http://www.brocket99.net/brocketology.htm

Thanks Anthony! Just got the cds today. Excellent shipping fast! Good deal with the party pack still gotta listen to them all. Nice doing business with you. If you would like I can rate you on paypal or you can use a quote from this for your site as a very satisfied customer.

I Am a white male, i grew up in a little city in Saskatchewan... and after i finished high school.. i moved to a reserve to work at a jail... in Pelican Narows SK. that is very northern Sask.... and I can relate to Brocket many of the characters in your guys shows..... are simular to the people i met working in the jail system.... most of the natives there tohught it was hilarous.. becasue they got to laugh at them self in a non stereotypical becasue they know they are not like that.....but some thing relate..... i am also curious is there gonna be new brockets comming out.....

I received the CD's on Friday and have listened to the entire set. The overall sound quality is awesome and all the material from my first tape from 1990 is there, I've never heard 'Tales of a Nation' so clearly before. Thanks.

Thanks for your quick shipment of my order to Miami. I have been a fan of Brocket for a long time, as early as '87/88 when I first heard it on an Army base in Alberta. In fact, I went the '86 AC/DC concert in Calgary mentioned on the CD (although my memories are a little vague due to liberal amounts of Crown Royal). My Grandparents lived a few miles down the road from Brocket in an area called the Crow's Nest Pass, so I have driven past the reservation many times, but never stopped in. To have such a valuable part of Canadian satire that has grown into an Urban Legend is greatly appreciated...so how can you argue with dat?

I just recieved the cd's and thier great!!!! Thank you for your service and say Hi the Ernie Scarr for me!! All the best

Once again, Thank - you for giving me the opportunity to own the Brocket CD'S. again. Keep up the good work.

More compliments about the site and CD's

Rock on buddy, Heard this at working at the pulp mill when I was a summer student in '94. Good memories... Your site is slick and easy access! Much appreciated -S

I have spent the last 8 years trying to find a most excellent copy of Brocket 99 and have only heard the rumors of brocket 2. This is a great day for me! Right on Brother, testify!!!

Hi there, my name is Paul Bowly and I am so glad someone brought back the legend of the Brocket Radio station! This CD brings back so many great memories. I am very impressed with the audio quality of the CD. The old cassette version that I had originally sounded like crap, I couldn't even hear some of the voices. This is the best copy I have ever heard! The whole broadcast is on it. Once again, congrats on a job well done, I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. - Sincerely, Paul Bowly

THE MOG'S REVIEW

Brocket 99 - Complete and Uncut
From www.brocket99.net
A Review by The Mog

The year...1990. The scene...around midnight on a cold winter night in my hometown. One of those infamous 'cabin fever' parties that happen quite frequently during the cold seasons here in Canada. I was hosting this particular little shindig and we were all getting bored. We'd already played the usual rounds of drinking games and flipped the TV channels around countless times. Even the music seemed to sound all the same (perhaps because we'd heard most of the tunes on the 9 previous parties we'd been at and/or hosted and in those pre-MP3 days you often didn't have access to the selection you do now).
One of our group spoke up 'Hey have you guys ever heard Brocket 99?'
'Brocket 99...what the fuck is that?'
'It's this underground parody of a nonexistent radio station but with natives....ya gotta hear it, it's fucking hilarious!'
I'll make a long story short...we must've played this tape 3 full spins that night, laughing outrageously each time. Needless to say, I had a copy of that tape before the end of the night, and most of the people at the party stayed over mainly so they could copy it the next morning!

All that aside, let me say for the record that since that time I've had access to and occasionally paid good money for literally dozens of copies of Brocket 99. Most of them were shitty; tapes where the source had literally been dubbed to the point where whole sections were missing. Many that claimed to be complete weren't; some had cut the music right out and left only the speaking parts. Others had cut out sections that some people might consider 'less humorous' or perhaps not necessary to the overall theme.

So how did Anthony Michael's version stack up?

Let's start with the packaging. Most of the previous tapes & CD's I've received (both as freebies and bought copies) didn't bother with a jewel case. Hell, some didn't even bother with a CD envelope! Not this version friends and neighbours - it includes not only quality media complete with labels, but also matching jewel cases. I know this doesn't seem like such a big deal, but being a person that's received purchased CDs thrown in nothing more than a brown envelope (in many cases resulting in scratched CDs) & completely unlabeled to boot it's a welcome relief. It shows me that the seller has at least some pride in the quality of the product he sells and cares that you received the CDs in one piece (and the way these were packed, it would've taken a real good stomping by the post office to cause any sort of damage).

Now for the meat of the review...how is the sound quality compared with other versions?
In a word....stellar!
Let me reiterate again that I've heard Brocket 99 literally hundreds of times since that first time in 1990 and believe me when I say this is the BEST most complete version you are ever going to get! No shit people - take my word for it that this is finally a version of Brocket 99 that I would fully endorse as worth every penny of your hard-earned dollars and then some. Absolutely everything to do with the original Brocket 99 is here - even some clips that yours truly had never heard up until this point. Obviously the seller of this version is no stranger to what fans were looking for. Mainly an archival quality version of this classic 'underground' recording that would last the purchaser for a lifetime.
Any negatives? Well it was really tough to find any but I'll try :). A very few (let me emphasize 'very few') rough spots here and there on the audio - nothing that you would certainly notice unless you were really listening for it. About the only thing I would change is to have the rare and unreleased clip (aka. The Great White Buffalo / commercials) at the beginning of CD1 (as IMHO it works better as the intro to the main Brocket 99 - sort of like when a radio station is about to go on the air for the day). However this is just a minor personal preference of mine and in no way detracts from the overall quality of this package. Also, the seller has decided to do some minor audio 'watermarking' throughout the recording (softly uttered 'brocket99.net's before the beginning of a few songs for instance) however this is completely unobtrusive and does not interfere in the least with the listening enjoyment of this recording. About the only other thing I wouldn't mind (and this is being really nitpicky) would be to have the recording separated into tracks, however anyone who knows how to use their fast forward button on the CD player will be able to quickly get to the section they want to after some experience. Again this is just my personal preference.
You will also find that Michael Anthony likes to include lots of promotions and ads for his other Brocket-related stuff on the CDs - but hey, he's brought us the best version of Brocket 99 out there so why shouldn't he be allowed to toot his own horn so to speak? Besides, they're after the main recording of Brocket is finished and anyways it's better than having a lot of dead air left on the CDs! ED. NOTE: ALL COMMERICALS FOR NON-BROCKET SHIT APPEAR AT THE END OF THE CD SO AS NOT TO INTRUDE ON YOUR ENJOYMENT OR SCREW UP THE SEQUENCE  OF THE  PROGRAM. IT IS ALSO FOR THAT REASON THAT THE GREAT WHITE BUFFALO BIT APPEARS WHERE IT DOES. THE ENTIRE SHOW FROM 1986 AND 1989 ARE IN THEIR CORRECT ORDER EXCEPT WHERE OUTTAKES ARE INSERTED. I'M SO FUCKING ANAL!

Well what's the bottom line? Buy it now before some silly PC asshole tries to shut the web site down. You definitely won't regret it and the more copies out there, the better this legendary recording of hilarious satire can be kept alive and kicking!

My rating **** 1/2  /  *****
